NSPS-384 He Says He Wants to Forget, Yet He Leaves No Detail Behind
Three wives' faces are packed into the same husband's narration. At first it sounds like a plea for help, but as it goes on, all that's left is his refusal to let that day truly end.

NSPS-384 Editorial notes
This work turns the "wife being turned around" into a submission meant for repeated viewing. 澤村レイコ, 中森玲子, and 吉岡奈々子 take turns becoming the wife who is passed around; colleagues, people met on trips, and strangers keep changing, but the husband's way of telling the story stays the same.
He says that was the experience he most wanted to forget, yet he describes every person, every location, and the wife's reactions with great clarity. The narration starts out sounding like a plea for help, but as it goes on it becomes more like a playback. The scene was already over long ago; each time he repeats it, he sends the wife back into that group of people.
My interest in this series has never been solely about multiple people. What draws me in more is how memory turns into a second scene: the wife's body loses control once there, and later the husband lets it happen countless times in his mind. Pain and excitement need not be separated; they can live on through the same detail.
Truth versus falsehood is not the focus of my judgment of this piece. "This is a true story" is merely a key that opens why the husband must keep telling. If he truly only wanted to forget, the story wouldn't be so complete; it is precisely because he cannot bear to leave anything out that the green hat continues even after the event has ended.
